Dear Brother Knights,

As we have done over the past several years, the Council is again sponsoring worthy families this holiday season. In addition to a family recommended by St. Mary Parish, we hope to adopt a family recommended by St. James Parish and the child or family of a prisoner at the Oakland County Jail.

Cash donations or donations of gift certificates from grocery stores, K-Mart, Meijer’s, etc. would be appreciated.

Checks should be made payable to the K of C #2569 and mailed to my
attention at the Council’s address.

Ford Field Lions Game Fund Raiser

Grand Knight's Message

Greetings Brother Knights,

The holidays are upon us with all the trappings and unnecessary expenses (which many of us do not need just now). It’s a bittersweet time for me, and I’m sure for others in our ranks. May God give us peace and keep us focused on the true meaning of Christmas and also give strength and guidance to those of us who
face financial and health difficulties at this time.

We hosted a Major Degree at St. Mary on Saturday, November 15. I thank those who helped.

The council Christmas Party will be held on Saturday, December 6, at 7:00 p.m. at the Legion. Food and spirits will be provided. You are welcome to bring a dish to pass but it’s not necessary. Come early and stay late. You can’t beat a free night out, especially in this economy.

Our Membership Meeting in
December will be on the second Tuesday, December 9 because of Christmas. The meetings will resume their normal spot in January on every fourth (4th) Tuesday.

Our next membership drive will
be on the weekend of December 13-14. Not a great time you say? If every one pitched in to make our quota we wouldn’t need so many drives. Come to the Masses and help. Our council is showing signs of growth and
renewal but we also need a boost from those members who have stepped away and now would like to contribute again. It’s time to reach out and help.

and Happy New Year to one and all and may next year be much better in every way.
